How to Clean Composite decking with 30 Seconds

One of the most common questions we get at 30 SECONDS is whether our products work on composite materials such as Trex decking. In short, the answer is YES. But here’s how you can make sure to get the best results:

Just like any material to be cleaned with 30 SECONDS, start with a dry surface so the product doesn’t just bead off and wash away. Then you want to make sure you thoroughly saturate the deck (which is surprisingly porous!) by applying a generous amount and letting it really soak in. That means allowing at least 10 minutes to let it do its thing, keeping it wet the whole time… so don’t just wander off.

If your surface has a lot of grooves you might want to loosen up the moss and algae with a brush, but otherwise 30 SECONDS will do all of the work for you. Once you’re satisfied that all of the growth has lifted and the underlying surface is clean, go ahead and rinse the whole area well with a hose.

Now move on to your next project. You’re done here.

I have a 12 x 40 foot park model trailer with vinyl siding.  Each year is a major job to clean with cleanser and a scrub brush. This time I saw an ad for your product and thought I would give it a try.  Got the whole thing cleaned in an afternoon with just a little scrubbing.  All done and looks like brand new.  Proudly showing my neighbours.  I am so excited to have this big job done in no time and will use your product again.  Excellent cleaner.  Thanks!
